植物相

植物相（英語：flora，复数形式为floras、florae）又称植物相、植物区系，是某一地区和（或）某一时期所有植物种群的总和。植物相是组成各种植被类型的基础，也是研究自然历史特征和变迁的依据之一。

术语flora用于植物学的另一個意思是植物誌，是对一个植物群的纪录和描述。

此外，flora也用于微生物学，称为区系、菌群、菌相（如肠道菌群、皮肤菌群），是定居在宿主体表或腔内表层，与环境相通的细菌或真菌群落。

语源与含义

植物相的原字，源自於羅馬神話裡的女花神芙萝拉（Flora），花之女神，在此指一特定地區的所有植物的統稱。

按1913年韋氏字典的解釋：「flora在植物學上有兩意思： 1. 某一地區（或地域，或時期）裡自然生成的所有植物種類群所形成的一個完整系統，稱為植物相。 2. 這樣的植物種類群的完整名單或描述，或是其專題論文，稱為植物誌。」

範圍

通常植物志之編寫乃取一特定區域，例如中國植物志，甚或地帶，如熱帶植物誌，對此特定區域內的所有植物（主要是維管束植物）予以形態的描述及分類的處理詳細記錄。因此植物志是某一地區在某一時間裡，完整記錄此區域裡所有的植物種類，除具有「詳實的描述外，更有檢索表提供物種與物種間的比對，所以一個地區的植物誌相當不容易完成」，需要長期的分類學研究，而研究的材料來源，除了現地採集，便常常需得利用收藏在當地的標本館，或其他標本館裡的材料。

古典植物志

歐洲

  • 《倫敦植物志》 (Flora Londinensis)：威廉·柯蒂斯，英國 1777年- 1798年，收錄倫敦地區植物。
  • 《希臘植物志》 (Flora Graeca)：John Sibthorp. 英國 1806年 - 1840年，收錄及處理希臘的植物。
  • 《丹麥植物志》 (Flora Danica)：Simon Paulli. 丹麥, 1847年，收錄丹麥的植物。
  • 《耶拿植物志》(Flora Jenensis)：Heinrich Bernhard Rupp 德國，1718年，收錄耶拿地區的植物。
  • 《瑞典植物志》(Flora Suecica)：卡爾·林奈，1745年，收錄瑞典的植物。
  • 《塞爾維亞公國植物誌》(Flora Kneževine Srbije)：約瑟夫·潘契奇，1874年，收錄塞爾維亞公國的植物。

印度

  • 《印度馬拉巴爾植物志》(Hortus indicus malabaricus)：Hendrik van Rheede， 1683年–1703年，印度南方的馬拉巴爾地區。

印尼

  • 《爪哇植物志》(Flora Javae)：卡爾·路德維格·布盧姆及Joanne Baptista Fischer，1828年，爪哇地區的植物志。

中國

  • 《中國植物志》(Flora Sinensis)：卜彌格, 1656年，中國地區。參見：中國植物志。
