分類學（英語：taxonomy）是一门進行分類的方法與科學，其将事物或者概念依据形象或抽象程度的不同而建立层次结构或体系。不同層級的分類單位之間，有子分類與母分類的關係。舉例而言，車子是一種交通工具，因而車子是交通工具的子分類。
英语 taxonomy 源於希臘語 τάξις（taxis，意指類別），以及 νόμος（nomos，意指方法、法則、科學）。
分类学的主要分支有生物分类学、图书分类学等。
